Learn How to Ski

With guaranteed conditions and a nightly snow storm, Snow Factor is the perfect place to learn how to ski at any time – whatever the weather – 364 days a year! Our team of qualified instructors will guide you through every step of learning to ski. From fitting your boots correctly and finding your balance, all the way through to your first smooth turns on the main slope. Our lessons are individually tailored to ensure you are comfortable at every stage, making you mountain-ready in no time.And remember, all of your equipment is included in the price!
Training
To ensure the safety of all slope users, only our fully qualified Snow Factor instructors arepermitted to teach or provide coaching on the dedicated lesson slope or main slope at any time.
Instruction, Coaching and Development at Snow Factor are provided by Snow Factor Training Ltd. Snow Factor Training was established to foster and develop access to winter sports in conjunction with our partners, BASI and DSUK. Our objectives include:
- To provide training and tuition to the public in relation to snow sports
- To foster and develop amongst the public skills in relation to snow sports
- To promote safety and awareness of snow and ice environments to the public
- To provide education to the public in relation to snow sports
Skill Levels
Skill Level 1: Introduction to skiing
At this stage you will become familiar with the equipment, comfortable sliding around on your skis and practice snowploughs.
Skill Level 2: Introduction to turning
At this stage you will develop your first turns and progress to start linking your turns together
Skill Level 3: Control of turning
This stage develops your turns and introduces varying speed and size of turns.
Skill Level 4: Introduction to the main slope
At this stage you will develop control of speed and size of turns in preparation for a halfway.
Skill Level 5: Starting parallel
This stage will work on matching your skis parallel and introduce you to a steeper slope. Once you have completed Ski Skill Levels 1 to 5, it’s time to go solo! Lift passes are available at our ticket desk so that you can put your newly acquired skills into practice.
