Snow Factor Racing (SFR) offers training opportunities for junior ski racers. Whether you have experience or are totally new to the sport, we provide a progressive training programme to take you from entry level to competition standard.
Are you looking to try some basic race training or improve your technique? Why not try our NEW! Intro/Taster race coaching sessions here at Snow Factor
Within this session, our race coaches will show you race drills to help improve performance and technique. There will be time spent going through our soft rubber stubby gates, with the hopes to being able to try the full length gates in the future. Towards the end of the session there will be the option to time yourself on the race course using our wireless timing. This will gauge improvement on your performance and time.
At the end of the session there will be time for Q&A’s, especially with the varied equipment available for potential racers.
To take part in this lesson you should be able to ski comfortably down our main slope and be able to control your speed. This lesson is open to all skiers aged 13yrs +.
Your 2 hour coaching session + lift pass will cost just £25pp.
Snow Factor Racing is open to junior skiers aged 8-15 years. Juniors should be able to demonstrate both snow plough and parallel turns, whilst controlling their speed on the slope.
Before joining Snow Factor Racing, there will be an assessment to segment juniors in to ability levels. The assessment will take place over 2 weekends – Sunday 14th January 2018 and Sunday 21st January 2018. Allocated race groups will be on the assessment and this will be confirmed w/c 22ndJanuary 2018.
If you’d like to attend one of the assessment days, please contact us direct via email to let us know: email@example.com
The time of the assessment is 1015hrs – 1230hrs and this includes a 15 minute break with a hot drink/soft drink being provided. Minimum ski standard is parallel – Assessment sessions are held twice a year.
