It’s almost the summer holidays – and not time to pack away the skis or snowboard!

For just like Britain’s top skiers and snowboarders, who use the likes of Snow Factor Braehead just west of Glasgow city centre to prepare for the 2018/2019 World Cup season, the school holidays are also the perfect opportunity for children to enjoy the snow.

From week commencing 3rd July until 7th August inclusive, Snow Factor Braehead, Scotland’s only indoor real snow sports facility is running its popular 5-day (Monday-Friday) summer camps.

Targeted at 7-15 year-old boys and girls, the fun-filled, full-day camps (830am-5pm) promise to keep the kids active and safe as they learn or hone their ski / snowboarding skills in classes overseen by expert instructors.

Whether a complete beginner (rookie ski / rookie board) or a talented young snowboarder (freestyle board) and hot shot skier (pro ski) there are classes at all levels designed to develop the skills and confidence of kids.

What’s more, with drop-off from 830am (pick up 5pm) the summer camps are an excellent childcare solution for working parents.

The camps cost £299 per person (member discount 15% / sibling discount 10%) and include instruction, all technical equipment, snacks, refreshments, lunch and selected off-slope afternoon activities.

Penny Dunn, Business Development Manager for Ice Factor Group, commented: “The summer camps promise the kids great fun and a chance to make new friends as they learn and develop their ski and snowboarding skills on real snow under the guidance of an expert instructor.

“Hugely popular, there’s never a dull moment. Parents can head off to work knowing that their kids will be safe, active and perfecting their skills for the autumn and winter season ahead.”
