29 September 2016: is strengthening its position as Scotland’s largest ski airline with the most routes to the snow in the winter, by partnering with Scotland’s only year-round snowsport resort, Snow Factor Braehead, located just ten minutes west of Glasgow city centre.

Ahead of the ski season, is giving snowsport fans in Scotland the chance to take off like Snow Factor instructor and sponsored rider Marc ‘Gladys’ McClement (pictured with cabin crew member Alison Ramsay in foreground) on its largest ever ski programme. The partnership means Jet2 passengers are able to get 20% off Snow Factor ski passes, and get some practice in before jetting off to hit the slopes.

There are more opportunities than ever to do this too, as has announced 37,000 additional seats on its ski programme from Scotland this winter, after a major expansion that includes brand new destinations and more flights on popular routes from Edinburgh and Glasgow. This programme makes Scotland’s largest ski airline.

The programme will see fly to six top ski destinations for winter 16/17 from Scotland (Geneva, Grenoble, Salzburg, Turin, Verona and Andorra (Barcelona). This includes four top ski destinations from Edinburgh Airport: Geneva, Salzburg, Turin and Verona, and three from Glasgow Airport: Geneva, Grenoble and Andorra (Barcelona).

The expansion means that is the only scheduled operator to Salzburg, Turin & Verona from Scotland this winter, as well as being the only operator offering weekend breaks from Glasgow to Geneva.

As the ski season draws closer, has also announced that customers can check in 22kg of ski carriage allowance for just £1*!

On top of this, customers can also look forward to great flight times, 0% credit card fees and a brand new ski website with information on over 80 top resorts, including the number of ski runs, ski difficulty, and distances to nearest airports.

Steve Heapy, CEO of and Jet2holidays said: “As Scotland’s largest ski airline, we are launching our biggest ever ski programme and want to do everything we can so that Scots can flock to the slopes this winter. This is why we’ve expanded our capacity, unveiled a brand new ski website, and introduced a market leading 22kg of ski carriage allowance for just £1. On top of all that, our partnership with Snow Factor Braehead means that we can let people in Scotland know about our biggest ever ski programme and offer the very best deals out there, whether it’s great value ski flights with or discounted ski passes to Snow Factor Braehead.”

Jamie Smith, owner of Snow Factor Braehead, commented: “As Scotland’s only real indoor snow-sports destination, we are proud to partner with Jet2 as the airline adds new winter routes to its Scottish schedule.

“Jet2 and Snow Factor Braehead share a passion for giving customers in Scotland every opportunity to discover and enjoy the thrill of winter sport.  Families and individuals of every age and ability can safely learn and hone their ski and snowboarding skills on our slopes and if planning an overseas winter holiday, take-off with Jet2 to alpine destinations.”
