Frequently Asked Questions
Is it REAL snow?
Yes! We have 16 snow cannons in the roof gantry which fire cooled water into air which has been chilled to -4°c. This makes REAL snow – tonnes of it several times a week!
How much snow IS there at Snow Factor?
The snow on the main slope is nearly 1.5m deep. Every night, after close, the snow is groomed with a Kassbohrer Piste 100 machine to ensure perfect conditions for the next day.
We also have a dedicated Park Team who are responsible for developing and maintaining the jumps, kickers and rails.
How cold is it?
Very! The slope is housed in a giant freezer with a ground temperature of -12°c and an air temperature of up to -4°c.

Snow Factor slopes are similar to a blue run in Europe.
